Man, those prices are still really high. All told you're still looking at 1000$ if you want to build a decent VR setup.

Well, finally a price tag. Now I know for a fact that I can likely build my VR setup. Depends on where I am next year, I'm hoping it's not NYC or that might get difficult lol.

FB kills the game…such ahead…and with 1.7 billions "virtual" costumers…HTC /Valve is a step to the grave…and Apple to follow if they don't react…and ALTSpaceVR is dead, sorry.

Vive's controllers are much more clunky, but Oculus touch is completely ruined by delayed release and being an optional accessory. More than that, HTC Vive 2.0 coming soon near beginning of 2017, which would probably solve the design issues.
Oculus has lost the PC market competition, but is still useful as a software company thanks to John Carmack and Samsung for developing GearVR.
But the thing is that Daydream is coming. Of course Daydream is just a cardboard with a smart tv remote, but this is enough to make the future of Oculus questionable. Daydream should have far less DRM and will be compatible with Android N Snapdragon 820+ phones with OLED displays.
If Google will let users launch Daydream applications which wasn't downloaded from Google Play, it will be their main selling point, because mobile VR pr0n will be no longer limited to 360 videos. The price of interactive NSFW experiences will be cut down from 1100-1600$ to 400-600$, which is 2-3 times less.

More expensive, more complex, and less open than Vive. No thanks.

give credit where credit is due oculus maybe late to the party with hand presence but definitely took their time and made up for it with the improvements with touch and there space warp tech, games, touches battery life, acknowledging the room scale elephant in the room which they knew was a mistake to deny what the consumer would want and not telling us what we were getting, good move by them. if any one says oh it's 80 dollars more then vive. Well it would have to be its the new 2016/2017 premium VR expirience hands down there will be no talk of no room scale or hand presences any more. And yes I said premium because 1 roomscale 2 hand presences like vive 3 finger prescences unlike vive more like leap motion 4 some great great touch games for free for the diligent that preordered and endured the wait I believe it's 3 touch games and lucky tale and eve valkirie so that's 5 games total 5 a xbox1 controller unlike vive so u can play standard games in vr. now u don't need the extra camera and will be the same price as vive but will still be a premium experience because there are plenty of videos on you tube with people with 2 rift cameras and room scaling all around a 15ft room and all over the floor if u don't believe me type in reality check vr look at his 2 oculus camera play through. plus they are ponying up 500 million to vr dev to make triple a games for vr I wish htc would do the same valve. plus lowering the pc spec to a 960 I say it and say it proud oculus for the win. the king of vr has reclaimed the crown, now I wouldn't call vive the court jester by any means but more of the prince of vr while psvr is the queen. because Sony will kick butt next year with psvr. picking up mine next week to sit next to her king the cv1. Vive had a great run and I will not deny it its merits I've used it several times and enjoyed it. but when games specifically for oculus come out where u have to do a certain finger gesture to proceed do not blame oculus for that blame steam.

Great, I would buy a touch controller and a microphone.
But why OCULUS correspondence of JRPG is not been announced?
Does it only COLOPL is to create a Japanese-compatible software?
The reason for immersive by the great machine, not yet.

After watching this, I can say with a great certainty that this will be the big next thing. Think of the early days of the internet, the early days of home consoles and pc gaming, the early days of the social networks, and the early days of the smart phone era. I believe VR is the next big thing.

Why make earbuds for the audio playback? I see that as causing an issue with localizing sounds in the VR space over using over-the-ear headphones (not the flimsy 90s walkman ear-pads that are currently on there)

I would love to use this software to help people train their dogs all over the world. Would this be a possibility? I am thinking of using the software you demonstrated with the avatars in this video (parties and rooms). We could watch demo videos for training as well as possibly interact with a virtual dog. How would I achieve this? I am super excited about the idea and being able to help people all over the world!
