wanna know price and comparison to the s10E , S10 vs G8,
If $750 it might be a compelling OLED phone for it's size and feature set.

    Price is everty.
LG does not know it's western markets at all.
sFor the most part people are like if it is not Apple or samung, or google, or one plus, or Huawei, it's not worth mentioning.
And know that everyone has copied the 18/9 slim bezel, hdr, superwide angle dual and triple rear cameras, LG pretty much only has it's sd card, class leading stereo recording and quad dac.
    MQA support.
A multi track recorder for professional studio results.
I was hoping they would expand on the digital audio front, by offering a class leading audio app with ear testing and headphone calibration to tailor the sound to you based on your hearing and headphones use.
LDAC and aptxHD true wireless buds with better battery life fit water resistance, and sound quality than galaxy buds and airpods for $99, that work on both ios and android seamlessly.
A higher end dac and amp.
A digital out port within the headphone jack, and maybe a balanced out like on pro DAP's.
Removable battery again would be huge, especially if it could still offer wireless charging and transfer, and ip68.
Better battery technology, the industry is the same as ten years ago.
Better cooling with a turbo mode, all 855's are essentially the same, time for turbo or a coprocessor.
Camera's, higher quality on all lenses, and better automatic software, night shots, wide angle, portrait, second to none.
No notch or hole unless it is under the display, use slide up or small dual screen or unique feature to do no hole notch or bezel.
Sony Xperia one does a good job of taking over where the LG V30 left off in design and video photo creator vlogger centric phone.
Aside from Apple samsung has historically had the highest resolutions.
    It's time for true 4K.

    The LG G8
Should be good competition for the samsung S10e which is quite smaller and does not have secure face unlock or the quad dac amp and superior stereo recording, but exceeds it in other ways, and should totally outclass the iphone XR in almost every way.
But only if the price is $749 or less.

If LG really wants to win back a larger portion of the marketplace and appease its fan base, bring back the user replaceable battery and not some 2800ma piece of shit either! That was your biggest selling point…

I dont like second screen or any other flip dual screen phones.. V50 thinq is enough for me

  • March 6, 2019 at 7:09 am

Is LG from south korea also?because LG tech is good also and the quality.I admire him his humble not like other CEO of huawie very proud of his copy cat unit.why should i buy huawie to spy me?never😅😅😅😅😅

Awkward butt jokes do not encourage likes… but anyway…LG should come to market with some major + models later this year. Notches are out and 2nd screens are better implemented elsewhere. I usually plan around solid devices from LG…not certain right now

The V-series is freaking amazing. I have the V40 and I'd recommend it to ANYone.

  • March 7, 2019 at 5:55 pm

I absolutely love my LG V40. I got it with a mfg special through Verizon for $450. (MSRP was 950) So I feel like I got a genuinely top end flagship for a steal.

They make great phones, no doubt.

I wonder why they didn't bother to mention the one thing that sets these phones apart from everyone else today? The quad DAC. That is literally the reason that many people choose to get it.

  • March 7, 2019 at 5:57 pm

You guys forgot to even mention the most basic things that set this phone apart, what kind of tech journalism is this supposed to be? The vibrating OLED. The quad DAC. The headset speaker doubling as a microphone for concert venues. Ffs.

If my butt can dial someone, it can unlock my phone.
As for the volume control. Once LG works out the bugs. They will remove the volume buttons on the side.

"Poor man's foldable phone"? Really? That's your best description? That's practicality and innovation. That's thinking outside the box. And to say it's "not that interesting" just coz of your materialistic bias? Shame on you. This is soo shallow. Not a good review at all.

  • March 9, 2019 at 6:26 pm

Did tech reviewers really watch the unveiling? or most of them are tech dumb! 🤔

  • March 10, 2019 at 3:20 am

Still u LG did not gave Android pie update to ur last year flagship g7 then why the hell ur running for a new release .Its a shame u never value ur existing customer and that UI it’s ruining the 845processor.

  • March 10, 2019 at 9:11 pm

    Stopped watching at 1:20
This is a reaction? You haven't stopped putting LG down since the video started FFS…

  • March 10, 2019 at 11:56 pm

I would love to be able to unlock my phone with my butt! 💩🍌

  • March 12, 2019 at 3:39 am

LG makes decent products…..I feel bad for them. Its such a tragedy. Every year they do the SAME thing….hoping this time it will be different and every year their phones get sold on ebay for $200-300

  • March 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm

I'm still using a G5 and V20. The only way I will get rid of these is if 5G technology renders them obsolete. I don't hink we are as close to widespread 5G as service providers would have us believe. Time will tell.

  • March 14, 2019 at 4:57 am

ONE OTHER TIME OF USE FOR Z CAM??? Oh my GOODNESS, what about when driving???? Using phone as gps mounted on windshield, like 78 billion other people? Except in Canada here, and your UK, it's illegal to touch your phone or ull get $500 fine! Well, LG is the ONLY ONE with the solution! DUHH! Can't touch this! Np! No more tickets for me!!!! Wow man, where is your imagination!? How about when snoozing alarm on nite table? Or people like me who use the HiFi DAC and hook it to home theatre – alwyas use master volume aka on phone, I just hope they finish the software. It's only the software that can limit it.

  • March 14, 2019 at 4:58 am

Maybe you get to your phone before the towel if it's ringing? Ughh. Wow man. Who put you there!?

  • March 16, 2019 at 2:08 am

The G8 looks the business with the flush rear. Excited about the Z camera too! (watch the promo video to find out more than what these have to say) This could be my way back since the G4! Not keen on air motion when I can ask Google to turn up the volume with my voice etc. LG should have just left that out and focused on cost reduction and streamlining the UI.

  • March 24, 2019 at 3:40 am

WTH? I just bought the V35 and then a V40 comes out of nowhere and now the V50? I should have supported the Pixel 3 instead.

  • March 25, 2019 at 2:06 pm

The G in LG stands for gimmick. Vein unlock who wants this? It'll bomb like their addon, optical zoom lens etc…, idea in the G4/G5. Which was best but never took off.

  • April 9, 2019 at 1:23 pm

Tell LG folks they are losing a very large market not offering the tbe dule LG V50 I want one. Price is the only thing stopung me😣
