Apple Watch: One year later. Are you still wearing it?

When the Apple Watch came out in April 2015, everyone was excited and curious. We unboxed it. We showered with it. We torture tested it. One year later, we asked CNET editors what became of the Watch.

My husband just left for AF BMT and I got one to let me know when he’s calling bc I can’t have my phone at work. So I see the notification that he’s calling and dash to my purse. Also I’m not checking my phone all the time which is nice. Don’t have that urge to check for messages bc I didn’t feel anything buzz!

Apple Watch is super useful in places like NYC where you're on foot or taking public transportation all the time and you need quick access to directions without the need for pulling out your phone.

It buzzes my wrist whenever I get an important email.

That sounds like having an ankle monitor on but worse.

Obviously none of these people are monitoring their workouts which I think is the killer feature.

I have never gotten a Apple Watch, but my sister has a Apple Watch series 1. I got the series 1 silver because it was nice, and helpful! I think starters should get a Apple Watch series 1 like me.

I use my watch to skip a song or change volume on my phone, read texts to see if I need to reply, check is notification is text or just an email etc, check my shopping list, as a pedometer, and as a security blanket. I’m never without my watch now I love it too much

Lack of strap options? There are 100 from apple (probably literally) and 1000 third party straps

I know this video is old and most were naysayers but this has helped me decide to get the series 4. I’m always plugged in so to speak and I think the watch will help me disconnect from my cell phone.
